CHIEF GANIU ADEKALE KELANI ESQ.-An Irreplaceable Icon

Chief Ganiu Adekale Kelani, (Ex-Chief Magistrate of Lagos State) was the Founder and Principal Partner of G. Ade. Kelani Chambers. He attended both Holborn College of Law ETC and College of Law in the United Kingdom from 1962 – 1968. He holds an L.L.B (Hons) Degree of the University of London (1st August, 1968). He was admitted as a member of The Honourable Society of Middle Temple from 1964-1969.

Chief Ganiu Adekale Kelani, was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in November, 1970 and he was a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA). He was in active private legal practice from 1970-1976. He was appointed as a Magistrate of Lagos State, Grade II in June, 1976 and progressively rose to the position of Chief Magistrate of Lagos State Grade 1 in December, 1983. He retired as Chief Magistrate of Lagos state in September, 1994

Chief Ganiu Adekale Kelani, before his demise heads the Litigation Group in the firm. He was in active litigation practice and also acted as counsel in a number of arbitral proceedings. While he was alive, the scope of his practice covers commercial and public law, advisory work, drafting, litigation and dispute resolution through negotiation and mediation.

After his death, his legacy continues to resonate with the firm.
