AFOLABI DAWODU ESQ.
Mr Afolabi Dawodu graduated from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos, Nigeria in 2006 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2007. His area of specialization is commercial law, intellectual property law, general solicitors practice and litigation. He is an astute negotiator in commercial transactions.
Mr. Dawodu has been involved in numerous litigations at the Lagos State High Courts, Oyo State High Court, Akwa Ibom State High Court, Rivers State High Court, Federal High Court, (Lagos and Abeokuta) Court of Appeal (Lagos and Ibadan) and the Supreme Court (Abuja). He has also participated in some arbitration proceedings as counsel. He has been involved in academic projects such as the publication of the Nigerian Intellectual Property Law Reports published by Alexander Payne Ltd for which he served as a co-editor and also co-authored the ‘Handbook on the Law of Agency’, a publication of the Taslim Elias Chambers of the Faculty of Law, University of Lagos.
As part of his duties for the law firms where he has served, Mr. Afolabi Dawodu has acted for many years as company secretary and legal adviser to various high net worth companies.
He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, and is highly proficient in Information Technology. Mr. Dawodu has since been in active legal practice since 2007. He is a Senior Associate.
