BAYO OREKOYA ESQ

Bayo Orekoya, Esq. LLB, B.L, ACTI,ACIarb (UK) is an alumnus of the University of Lagos, Nigeria (UNILAG) where he bagged his Bachelor of Law (LL.B) degree with Honours in 2006 and was thereafter called to the prestigious Nigerian Bar in 2007 as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He commenced his Legal career in the Commercial Law Office of Treasure Field Chambers as an Associate member. His sound understanding of Corporate/Commercial Law practice together with the excellent and dutiful performance in the discharge of assignments within a short time line made him to become the Head of Chambers in 2008.

The position which he held until June, 2009 before moving to the Law Firm of Messrs F. O. Kilani & Co. (Solicitors & Consultants). At Messrs F. O. Kilani & Co. he is the head, Capital Market Department where he manages corporate clients (Stock broking firms/Issuing Houses) on their duties to the various statutory regulatory bodies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and individual investors on the legal implications of their investment proposal at the Capital Market. Due to his legal prowess, he was drafted to join forces with the Real Estate Investment Department of the Firm and also rose to become the Head, Real Estate/Property Investment Department.

Whilst in Messrs F. O. Kilani & Co. Barr. Bayo Orekoya is an Associate of the Portfolio Management Institute, Nigeria, Member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), International Bar Association (IBA); he is an accredited agent of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and a licensed Capital Market Solicitor of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). He has participated in various municipal and international seminars, conferences, trainings and workshops on his area of core competences. He is a Managing Partner of the firm.
